The online channel, launched in Britain in 2015 by Liza Drozdov, the service is available in Canada and the US. | news from the gardening zeitgeist |
In an 2015 interview with Garden Making magazine, Drozdov commented, "As a gardener myself, I have long been frustrated by the absence of garden series on television. There are excellent ones produced in the UK and I thought it would be great for gardeners to be able to see them in Canada, along with classic series from North America. After all, gardening is 'evergreen', so even an older series can provide great information."

Gardenmaking magazine reported in their latest e-newsletter that
Hortus TV has recently included "three seasons of “The Secret World of Gardens,” a documentary series produced in Canada featuring naturalist Martin Galloway that shows the intimate relationship between insects, wildlife and flowers in a garden." If you are interested in gardening for pollinators, this is a relevant show to check out.
